About Acne Scar Removal
Laser acne scar removal is a relatively simple procedure that has been providing beautiful results for many years. The treatment is approved by the FDA for use on any area of the body, including the face. Compared to alternative scar removal techniques, laser scar removal is quick and non-invasive. Typically, Centennial laser scar removal patients experience minor, temporary redness and swelling at the treated area. These side effects usually subside completely within a few days.
How Acne Scar Removal is Performed
The CO2 laser emits short pulses of fine laser light, aimed to reach deep into the sub-layers of the skin to treat the underlying skin support structure and causing a natural healing process. The healing process removes older, damaged tissue and in it’s place creates new collagen and elastin which provide a foundation for improved skin complexion. Depending on the results of the initial treatment, some patients may require three to seven follow up treatments to experience the desired result.
The treatment is fast, usually requiring no more than 30 minutes depending on the size of the area treated. Centennial acne scar removal patients are able to return to normal daily activities right away.
